“We aspire to be loved.
And, who knows, maybe become people’s beloved brand!”
Zanna was trained as an opera singer, in addition to being a composer and musical producer specializing in branding.
She was the first jury member from the sound industry at the Cannes Festival and the first person to present a talk on this subject at the 2012 Cannes Festival.
She won the Audio Branding Society Audience Award for the world’s best sound branding case in Moscow, Russia, for her work with MetrôRio.
She wrote the first book about sound branding in Latin America – “The Sound Life of Brands.” And she’s launching what she calls the “album of my life,” with the title Zanna, working with one of the world’s leading music producers, Moogie Canázio.
After years of research and successful experience in the field of sound branding, Zanna wrote “The Sound Life of Brands.” This book shows how sound branding professionals use voice, speech habits, rhythms, timbres and musical instruments to define a brand’s sound identity, transforming its DNA into recognized sounds.
She also suggests developing personal sound branding. She believes each person can be viewed as a unique brand – with a name, way of talking and habits – taking advantage of sound to build a personal image.
After 10 years focusing on creating for brands, Zanna decided to return to her origins and make what she calls the “album of her life.” The 11 songs she composed incorporate the authenticity of her voice and her guitar.
The album is produced by Moogie Canazio, a Brazilian who lives in Los Angeles and produces albums for big-name musicians, such as Bethânia, Caetano and Sérgio Mendes, with whom he won a Grammy.
Well-known arrangers and musicians with international reputations who live in Los Angeles are participating in the album, which will also be mixed and mastered in that city.
Brazilian music deserves Zanna’s elegant approach!
